Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Paramedic Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 08/04/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, evenings Employment Type: Local Contract Job Title: Paramedic – Emergency Department (ED) Location: Marinette, WI 54143 Contract Duration: August 4, 2025 – November 1, 2025 Shift: 12-hour Evening Shift Schedule: 36 hours/week Specialty: Emergency Department / Paramedic Job Summary: Hospital-based Paramedic position within the Emergency Department. The Paramedic supports ED clinical operations under the direction of licensed clinicians by providing emergency care, assisting in patient procedures, and coordinating with medical and EMS teams for optimal patient outcomes. Job Duties: • Assist in emergency procedures and respond promptly to patient needs • Start IVs, collect specimens, perform phlebotomy, and monitor cardiac and vital signs • Prepare/administer medications (under clinician direction) • Operate ventilators and assist in airway management • Support documentation and EHR use for timely charting • Maintain equipment and ensure ED cleanliness and readiness • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, EMS, and other hospital staff • Monitor and restock emergency supplies • Communicate with EMS services and transport teams as needed • Provide safe and efficient care following Advocate Health protocols Job Requirements: • Wisconsin EMT-Paramedic license (active and in good standing) • BLS (American Heart Association) – Required • ACLS & PALS (AHA) – Required within 6 months of start • 1–2 years of hospital or Emergency Department experience preferred • Ability to work 12-hour evening shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed • Familiarity with EMR systems and trauma/emergency care practices Additional Details: • Floating: None • On-call: None • Holiday Call: As applicable • Orientation: Required (details to be shared upon offer) • Work Hours Policy: 36 hrs/week minimum; overtime as applicable MARS Solutions Group Job ID: 7715.
