Job Description:
Ascension is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Med
Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our faith-based healthcare team.

our patients. As a Med Surg RN at Ascension, you will be integral
to our mission of serving communities and supporting patients with
unparalleled healthcare services. Provide comprehensive nursing
care to patients in the medical-surgical unit. Monitor, record, and
communicate patient conditions as appropriate using computerized
documentation systems. Administer medications and treatments as
prescribed by physicians in a timely and accurate manner.
Participate in the development and modification of care plans in
conjunction with the healthcare team. Educate patients and families
on health care and disease management. Ensure the proper handling
of specimens and monitor equipment. Participate in discharge
planning and provide guidance to the nursing staff. Strong clinical
skills in a medical-surgical environment. Ability to operate
complex medical equipment. Comprehensive knowledge of nursing
procedures. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with
patients, families, and team members. Ability to critically think
and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations. Medical

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
