Duration: 17 - 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Two years of acute care experience within the last three years.
License: State nursing license or compact license from permanent
address state. Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications through
an accredited organization. Must-Have: Experience with HIPEC,
Whipple, trauma, colectomy, burns, laparoscopic, Davinci Xi,
appendectomy, and cholecystectomy procedures. Description: We are
seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work with a multidisciplinary
team to plan for patient care in the operating room in a timely
manner. The RN will communicate and coordinate operating room
activities to facilitate efficiency in surgical case progression
and turnover between cases. Safe, competent, and efficient patient
and family care must be implemented within policies, procedures,
and standards of care as per the perioperative patient's level of
complexity. The RN may be required to float to different units
based on staffing needs and may have shifts scheduled in multiple
locations. Weekend rotations and some holidays will be required.
Travelers will need to be comfortable transitioning cases if
necessary. Specific skills required include experience in various
surgical procedures, infection control, and compliance with
universal protocols. A telemetry exam will be required prior to the
start of the assignment with strict passing criteria. Candidates
must be able to meet competency renewal requirements and maintain
