SSM Health, a leading not-for-profit Catholic health system, is seeking a dedicated Anesthesia Technician to join our team. This role is crucial to supporting our anesthesia care team in facilitating patient care by setting up and maintaining all anesthesia equipment and supplies. The ideal candidate will incorporate our mission and values into their daily actions, ensuring the highest level of care and respect towards patients and colleagues. Assemble and prep anesthesia equipment and instruments before operations or procedures. Sterilize and clean all anesthesia equipment following each use to ensure safety and readiness. Assist anesthesiologists and nursing staff during procedures by providing the necessary equipment and supplies. Monitor, procure, and maintain anesthesia supplies and inventory. Troubleshoot any issues with anesthesia equipment. Provide technical assistance to the anesthesia team during emergency situations. Excellent knowledge of anesthesia techniques and equipment. Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and healthcare teams. Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
