ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM • 36 guaranteed hours per week over 13-week contract • Every other weekend and holiday rotation required • Float to all inpatient units as needed • Can be placed on call during low census periods with 2-hour minimum call back • Typically manage 1:4 patient ratio in fast-paced, high patient turnover environment • Care for post-operative CABG/valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF patients • Handle post-procedure cardiac catheterization, pacemaker, defibrillator, and ablation patients • Manage acute chest pain/MI and medical/surgical overflow patients including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbations • Must have 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) • 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required • Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips required • At least one travel assignment must be completed • 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required • Must pass EKG test within first week of hire • Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS • Must reside outside 50-mile radius of facility • Any color scrubs permitted • Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred Facility: This healthcare organization operates a 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down unit providing comprehensive cardiac care services.
