Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/20/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: /n Registered Nurse - OR /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 8-hour various day shifts Monday through Friday /n• 40 hours guaranteed per week /n• 13-week contract assignment /n• 1 night of call per week, 1 weekend per month, 1 backup per week with potential for additional call as needed /n• Response time of 30 minutes ready in OR - vehicle required for position /n• Every 3rd-4th weekend and holiday rotation /n• Assigned to 4-5 rooms per day within 21 ORs covering all specialties /n• Anesthesia RN role focusing on assisting anesthesia providers throughout various specialties with emphasis on cardiothoracic program /n• Minimum 3 years OR experience with anesthesia experience required /n• Prior travel experience required /n• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility /n• Required certifications: AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, WI RN License or compact RN /n• Epic charting system experience required /n• Must have experience with Cell Saver and Belmont equipment /n• Strong OR/CVOR circulating experience required with conscious sedation experience preferred /n• Skills include assisting with intubations, fiber optic scopes, sterile techniques with central lines, arterial lines, lumbar drains, Swan Ganz catheters, starting IVs, drawing labs, setting up medication pumps, running Belmont, Cell Saver, and Level I /n• Assist anesthesia with heart surgeries, traumas, elective surgeries, and general surgeries /n• 2-week orientation process with additional anesthesia skills training as needed /n• Scrub colors provided /n• Must be flexible candidate with excellent work ethic willing to perform downtime tasks as needed /n• During flu season, unvaccinated travelers required to wear masks at all times per facility policy /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive surgical program featuring 21 operating rooms covering all medical specialties with a particular emphasis on their cardiothoracic program.
