This role will be responsible for the daily functions of the Human Resources department for our manufacturing operations, including interviewing and onboarding team members, administering pay, benefits, and leave, enforcing company policies and practices and employee relations.Hours: Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM(Hours may fluctuate depending on business and department needs)Summary:The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the daily functions of the Human Resources department, including interviewing and onboarding team members, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices and employee relations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.Responsible for the day-to-day HR functions, which include employee relations, policy adherence, recognition and rewards, training, and developmentWorks closely with our recruiting team to assist with interviews and onboarding of new team membersConducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verificationsImplements new hire orientation and employee recognition programsPerforms routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and developmentPrimary contact for any HR-related vendors (i.e., staffing agencies)Primary contact for OSHA updates and compliance purposesResponsible for Worker Comp administration (i.e., inputting claims, follow-up and communication with employees)Provides management coaching to build leadership capabilities to address and resolve employee issuesReviews and tracks attendance points and issues disciplinary actionReviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certificationsAttends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigationsMaintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain complianceMaintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment lawWill perform additional responsibilities when requiredRequirements:What Youll Bring:BA/BS in Human Resources and/or equivalent years of experience3+ years of HR Generalist experience with proven knowledge of employment-related laws and regulationsHR experience working in high-volume manufacturingProficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the HRIS and talent management systemsMaintains confidentiality of proprietary informationAbility to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptionsHigh degree of initiative, self-motivation and ability to motivate othersAbility to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleaguesComfortable with office pets (cats, dogs)Not Required but Nice to Have!Not required to have pets, but highly recommended!Bilingual in English and SpanishBenefits & Purrks:Join a tenacious, inventive company that empowers team members to chart their own path, lead by grounding decisions in the why, and has a strong sense of empathy and openness to new perspectives.
