CS/: Making Buildings Better - This position supports our Expansion Joint Coverings Business Unit. - - ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions, including but not necessarily limited to the following/: Creates field use placement drawings from Estimator's quotations and contract documents for architectural comment and review. - Recaps job quantities and models for comparison with Estimator's quotation Reviews architectural change proposals, requests for information, and addenda drawings for effect on scope of work Answers specific or general technical questions from architects, contractors, and representatives Creates written requests for information Coordinates and converses with internal departments to ensure accuracy and final fabrication of project requirements Responsible for meeting committed dates and performing tasks as assigned in an efficient manner Have complete knowledge and understanding of projects Modify standard products to accommodate job specific conditions Attend all meetings as required for successful completion of project Have an understanding and knowledge of our products, fabrication processes, building construction, and contract document knowledge Effective verbal and written communication Maintain all electronic or physical files as required by department Implement and deliver solution-driven strategies Travels to project sites to resolve or answer concerns Proficient with standard models that require fabrication drawings Proficient in CNC programming as necessary Provides training support and mentoring Drafter 1, reviews Drafter 1 work for correctness Works with department supervisor to establish and implement new processes and improvements Lead by example by following company values, vision, and culture Lead larger projects involving multiple drafters Coordinates with the supervisor to ensure that the work group has necessary resources to complete job requirements Helps facilitate department growth and innovation by participating in meetings and daily operations. - Provides feedback and helps to keep the department running smoothly. Works with Project Managers on large projects or key accounts - Qualification: KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION/: (Minimum Education and/or Experience required) Associates degree in Drafting, Design, or Architectural Design and three to five years related experience and/or training Ability to use AutoCAD AutoCAD Professional Ability to read and understand rough or detailed sketches or notes, analyze, and interpret contract documents Ability to effective present information and respond to questions from internal departments, customers, representatives, contractors, and architects. Basic mathematical skills including but not limited to fractions, percentatages, ratios, and proportions Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload and schedule effectively Communication skills necessary to work effectively with all people necessary Organizational skills including multi tasking and overseeing several projects at one time Must be detail oriented Must have excellent communication skills PM21 #CONHR
