Seneca also provides vegetable products to other companies under various co-pack arrangements.Seneca Foods in Mayville, WI is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team.

Help us make our Farm Fresh Goodness Great!The Production Supervisor leads and coordinates the activities of our prodcution function to align with company goals.
They complete daily production requirements in a cost effective manner that meets or exceeds good manufacturing practices and employee safety.Responsibilities:
Direct employees to work toward operational goals.
Direct and supervise full time maintenance team.
Direct and supervise all processes to produce products that meet specifications.
Direct and supervise the accurate completion of all departmental records.
Ensure that all employees are adequately trained to perform assigned job.
Develop/execute daily production plan which effectively utilizes all materials.
Ensure that GMP's (General manufacturing Practices), safety rules and regulations are being followed and enforced.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of raw product preparation, packaging, thermal processes and maintenance.
Ability to effectively communicate with other supervisors, lead people and subordinates.
Know required procedures (FDA, USDA, OSHA, AIB, GMP).
Minimum of a high school education with additional training in Thermal processing and Quality Assurance.
Employee is required to have three (3) to five (5) years of experience in food processing as a supervisor or lead person.
Working conditions require frequently walking and standing in wet/humid conditions.
There will be exposure to chemicals and high noise. There is a 50-pound lifting requirement.
Personal Protective Equipment is required.
Must have good attention to detail and accuracy.
Willingness and ability to work and function in a team environment.
Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
