Job Description:
We are working with a large food manufacturer seeking a
Production Supervisor to join their Horicon, WI area team. This
position will begin as night shift and transition to days in
October. You will be responsible for the successful daily
operations of production ensuring daily goals are met and exceeded
while improving overall efficiency of the
operation.Responsibilities:Leadership & Team Management:Oversee and
schedule production staff, ensuring a safe, productive, and
high-quality work environment.Train and develop new team members in
food production processes, safety protocols, and quality
standards.Motivate and coach employees, fostering a positive and
collaborative work atmosphere.Address performance issues and
recommend corrective actions.Production Efficiency &
Problem-Solving:Plan, schedule, and optimize production processes
to meet output quotas while minimizing waste.Identify and
troubleshoot production line issues, implementing solutions to
maintain smooth operation.Monitor and maintain production
equipment, identifying and reporting maintenance needs.Collaborate
with maintenance teams to ensure timely equipment repairs and
minimize downtime.Quality & Safety Champion:Enforce strict
adherence to all food safety and quality control
regulations.Conduct regular inspections to ensure sanitation
standards are met.Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to
maintain the highest standards for our food products.Maintain
accurate production records and documentation to ensure
traceability and compliance.Communication &
Collaboration:Communicate effectively with all departments
(maintenance, sanitation, inventory) to ensure seamless production
flow.Participate in meetings to discuss production goals,
challenges, and solutions.Provide clear and concise instructions to
staff and ensure everyone understands their roles.Requirements:High
school diploma; Associate's degree in Food Science or a related
field a strong plus.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in food
production, preferably in a supervisory role.Strong leadership,
communication, and interpersonal skills.Excellent problem-solving
and decision-making abilities.Proficient in basic computer
applications and record-keeping.A keen eye for detail and a
commitment to quality and safety.Ability to work independently and
as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Understanding of
HACCP principles (or willingness to learn) is a plus.
